It has been the most valuable tool that helps marketers to innovate/adjust contents and improve relationship with customers. However, the concept of researching has developed into various categories and forms that serve the same ultimate goals of businesses, which are maximizing revenue and increasing customers’ base. For example, qualitative & quantitative research methods, research on social media trends, research on new platforms tools, research on customers’ reviews on product/service, conducting experiments research … etc.

It is obvious is that the internet has conquered the businesses environment and redefined the concept of research that the old-school ways of researching, such as distributive survey, costs more and provides lower results than online methods. Researching and managing social media are important tools that facilitates the businesses’ ultimate goals through investigating trends and being on-date.

  • The use of social media platforms to test and implement new strategies provides better results than unprepared strategies that might lead to a tragedy. Customer awareness has increased more than ever before. Customers have different convictions and views regarding the political positions that businesses may take. Therefore, it is important for businesses to use social media to experiment with new strategies, take note of customer reactions, and be able to adapt plans according to customer reactions urgently.
  • Invest in the right influencers, agencies, social media platforms, as they will represent the prestige and reputation of the business in people’s minds to attract the target customers. For example, investing in soccer player influencer, such as Lionel Messi, to advertise for soccer boots or t-shirts would reflect on prestige of the business that it is expensive, high quality, or brand that is worn by world’s champion … etc. agencies and social media platforms are the same, they need to be the right fit for business representation.
  • Social media marketing and e-commerce are different, yet they linked. Social media marketing is a tool helps marketers to conduct research and marketing strategies, but it doesn’t have a store or a direct purchase tool. On the other hand, e-commerce is the online store that presents the businesses goods and services that could be purchased immediately. The social media marketing strategy must provide customers direct link to online store that is functional as well as easy to navigate. The effectiveness of the marketing strategy could be measure based on the customers’ experiences with the online store, either bad or smooth, where increasing in sales if it was smooth and vice versa.
