Using storytelling, marketer can develop interesting and memorable content that connects with their target audience. Storytelling can be used to grab audience attention and spread a brand message. On social media platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, content mostly is frequently brief and to the point. In this article, I will be giving two tips for marketers to craft their social media content.
- Use visuals to tell a story
On platforms like Twitter, images work the best to evoke emotions and cause a powerful impact. To tell a story and leave a lasting impression on the audience, marketers can use images to evoke a certain emotion or feeling. For instance, a holiday resort might use an image of a person that is relaxed and smiling after spending couple of days on the resort to convey a message of calmness and happiness.
- Use caption to provide context:
On platforms like Instagram, captions work best with engaging audience and encouraging them to take actions. Captions are a powerful storytelling tool that marketers can use to add context to the short-content or image. For Example, one may post a picture of himself drinking coffee and on the caption, he would add things like describing the taste of coffee, best time of drinking coffee, or best coffee brands. Then, he would conclude by asking the audience to share their opinion or experience.
